Privacy Policy
The short version: the Linmoh app does not collect any data about you. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
What stays on your device
- Explanations and translations are generated on your iPhone by Apple Intelligence (or, on devices without it, by Apple’s on-device Translation framework and the built-in dictionary). The words and passages you look up are not sent to us.
- Your word book is stored only on your device. We can’t see it. Deleting the app deletes it.
- Pronunciation uses the speech voices built into iOS.
- Settings such as your favorite sites and explanation language are stored on your device.
Websites you visit
Linmoh is a web browser. Pages you open are loaded directly from those websites, which may set cookies and collect data under their own privacy policies. Linmoh doesn’t send your browsing history to us or to anyone else. Cookies and site data stay in the in-app browser on your device.
Update check
When the app starts, it downloads a small file from linmoh.com that says what the latest version is, so we can let you know when an update is available. This request contains no personal information or identifiers. Like any web request, it reaches our hosting provider (Cloudflare) with your IP address; we don’t log or use it.
Tips on this website
If you choose to leave a tip on linmoh.com, the payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe handles your card details — we never see or store them. We receive the amount and the email address you give Stripe, and use them only for records and receipts. Tipping is optional and has nothing to do with using the app.
Children
Linmoh doesn’t knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date above.
